                                                        Three-in-One Community Hub

​

 This innovative center brings together vital resources under ONE Roof, establishing a permanent foundation for health, education, and community empowerment. By separating these services into isolated buildings, traditional development creates fragmented, separated structures-difficult to access specially for those who travel by foot.

Our Three-in-One Community Hub creates a self-sustaining ecosystem that will lift thousands of individuals in the rural areas and villages out of survival mode into a better future. More than a physical space—we will build a center where people can access heath, education, develop practical skills, pursue economic opportunities, and come together to strengthen their community. We believe sustainable change begins by investing in people and creating the conditions for communities to grow and thrive. Through this project, we are bringing together local leadership, community members, foundations, and strategic partners to create a hub that responds to local needs and delivers meaningful, long-term benefits to the rural villages of East Africa.

 Proof of Concept: Transitioning from Temporary Outreach tents to Permanent Infrastructure

 

Our Model Works!

We do not just have a vision; we have a proven operational framework that works. Most recently, in August of 2026, we successfully executed our comprehensive Three-in-One outreach mission across three diverse regions in Kenya. 

During this deployment, we successfully delivered short-term medical treatments, educational sessions, and critical community services. However, because we relied on temporary fragile tents, borrowed local church buildings and open-air grounds, our impact was inherently restricted by weather, time, and lack of specialized space. Operating out of temporary tents, borrowed church buildings and open-air grounds, our astounding mobile team validated the immense regional demand by delivering life-changing services to nearly 1,300 beneficiaries:

Open Space Missions is a U.S.A Public Charity entity, in partnership with Open Space Missions Uganda, a registered Community-Based Organization in Madi-Okollo District, in the West-Nile Region of Uganda.

 

Community Context
In the Madi Okollo District of Northern Uganda, communities face low to no access to basic healthcare, quality primary education, and food. The district has a total population of 178,051 people living across 38,342 households.

 

 

Project Description

SELF-SUSTAINABLE       Singular Multi-Sector- Three-in-One Community Hub

The hub’s innovative physical framework is composed of three distinct but interconnected modules. 

Each specialized module operates independently, yet structurally and operationally reinforces the adjacent sectors within the same building to provide a holistic community center. This intentional design ensures that if one area experiences high demand, the others continue running without interruption, even as they share resources to maximize efficiency. By housing health, education, and community services under a single roof, the hub breaks down traditional barriers to access and serves the community as a unified, life-changing force. A centralized, multi-sector building designed to serve as the heart of the community. Built with affordability and rapid deployment in mind, the project maximizes infrastructural investment through standardized modular construction techniques:

• Cost Per Module: $30,000 USD

• Total Project Construction Cost for Three Modules: $90,000USD

 

• Module 1: Primary Health Clinic
  The Primary Health Clinic module is a dedicated healthcare facility designed to deliver essential medical services, preventative care, and health education. By co-locating this clinic within the same building as the school and community hall, the project establishes a highly responsive environment for rapid emergency response, seamless public health initiatives, and proactive student wellness screenings.                                                      

• Module 2: Multi-Grade School
  A modern educational environment for children. By anchoring the school within the hub, students gain secure, immediate access to healthcare screenings and a shared, safe space for physical and recreational activities.                                                                                                                                 

• Module 3: Versatile Community Hall
  The civic and economic engine of the hub. This flexible space serves as a town hall, a shelter during emergencies, a cultural center, and a meeting place for local micro-enterprises to generate community-led revenue.

​Teaching Gardens and Agricultural Area

Surrounding the physical building, agricultural plots serve a dual purpose. They are used for teaching farming techniques to community members, while simultaneously yielding crops to feed the school children, the local community workers and vulnerable families. The Teaching Gardens component is a women-lead enterprise.

Our Partnership Model, Implementation & Sustainability
This initiative relies on a sustainable execution model. While Open Space Missions U.S.A, a 501(c)(3) entity, provides financial oversight, compliance management, and administrative tracking, the hub is physically constructed, managed, and driven on the ground by our partner Open Space Missions Uganda and local community leaders. This ensures total community involvement, alignment with local needs, and organic long-term sustainability. Open Space Missions U.S.A. serves as the primary executing entity for this initiative, assuming full ownership of the project lifecycle. Open Space Missions U.S.A. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Open Space Missions Uganda, establishing that the U.S.A. organization is fully responsible for the entire project's implementation, development, and completion.

 

Financial Overview
The target budget for the entire integrated project is $90,000USD. Your funding will not be used for operational expenses. Our entire Open Space Missions team is composed strictly of volunteers, and no one within the organization receives a salary. This profound commitment ensures that every resource, donation, and minute of labor goes directly toward the community hub's construction. By keeping our administrative overhead at zero, we guarantee that your support has the maximum possible impact on the ground in East Africa. Your backing will directly support vital execution costs, specifically construction materials, agricultural tools, high-yield seeds for the Teaching Gardens, and educational furnishings.

 

Our ultimate vision is to scale this high-impact model by establishing self-sustaining Three-in-One Community Hubs across Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Having already secured a formal legal presence in these nations, our organization is uniquely positioned to seamlessly duplicate this infrastructure where it is needed most.

 

We are reaching the people of East Africa. Open Space Missions provides social services to all men, women and children with initiatives such as open field campaigns, community gatherings and medical camps events. We offer a free environment where people can hear, learn, be trained  and form strong,  self-sustainable communities.
